THIS IS NOT A DRILL: NORTHPOINT DEVELOPMENT APPROACHES JOLIET.
We have been keeping an eye out on agendas for rezoning of property to I-1. We noticed that for the October 17th hearing in Joliet that 103 acres were to be rezoned. No information was provided in the planning and zoning agenda. We filed a FOIA request to obtain more information, which was where we obtained the petition in which NorthPoint Development was named.
The petition is sparse, but the information is clear: NorthPoint Development has filed a petition for rezoning with the city of Joliet to rezone additional property. The petition requests that 103 acres, currently zoned residential, be rezoned to I-1 (industrial). The property in question is located on the south side of Breen Road, east of Rowel. You can access the agenda here: http://joliet.granicus.com/GeneratedAgendaViewer.php?view_id=2&event_id=1457
Please mark your calendars and attend if you can: Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at 4pm .We understand that this is at an inconvenient time and many will be unable to attend due to work. Please do you your best to make it if possible. We will post more information as we get it. Full FOIA posted below.

How can residents in other townships get in contact with the people that run this site?
I’m in Wilmington and want to know if family and I are able to go to the City Hall meetings in Joliet, namely the one on the 17th.
Any response is appreciated.
Will C., these are public meetings, open to the public. Literally anyone is allowed to attend, so please feel free to show up with as many people as you can bring and express your opinion. To contact us, use the Contact Form or Facebook. Thank you.
